First Breath tells a very unconventional love story about a high school girl on her way to her prom. Her life crosses with a sanitation worker who discovers a baby in the trash by her home. Their journey brings together two separate worlds and takes them to a place neither expected to travel. It raises issues of paternal instinct, self-discovery, the power of denial and the responsibility of friendship. Every life has a meaning. This short film subtly explores the purpose we are born with - starting with an infant's first breath.
