影片疏失:
- Boom mike visible: When Mary goes to clean the blood, as the camera pans over the bloody cobbles, the boom is reflected in the largest pool of blood.
- Continuity: A shawl appears on Mary Magdalene's head between shots after Jesus, on the cross, says, "Son behold your mother...".
- Continuity: After Jesus has first taken the cross on his shoulders a close-up of his face (before the shot with the donkeys and palm leaves in the background) shows that his left eye is blue is blue instead of the digitalized brown.
- Continuity: As Jesus carries his cross, the blood on the cross disappears and reappears between shots.
- Continuity: During the first half of the scourge scene, Jesus' hands are dark and bloodied by his shackles. Then a dramatic close-up shows them nearly blood-free.
- Continuity: During the sequence when Jesus carries his cross, he often falls down. His hand placement on the cross changes several time between shots.
- Continuity: Flopped shot: Jesus stumbles and falls to the ground while carrying the cross, his injuries are to his left eye for one shot. By the next shot the injuries have returned to his right eye.
- Continuity: In one shot of Jesus on the cross, the cliff or bank in the background is falling before the "earthquake" starts.

- Errors in geography: We see a Bactrian (two-humped) camel, which is native to the Gobi desert and the steppes of Central Asia. The camel should have been a dromedary (one-humped) camel, often called an Arabian camel.
- Incorrectly regarded as goofs: As always, discrepancies between the movie and the source material are specifically exempt from listing as goofs, as are most artistic decisions (the use of Latin and Aramaic, for instance, instead of Greek).
- Revealing mistakes: Before Judas commits suicide he puts his hands to his face and we can see that the makeup on his right hand is peeling away.
- Revealing mistakes: When Jesus' left hand is being nailed to the cross, the actor's real hand is visible behind the fake hand being nailed.
