- Continuity: During the trailer bedroom scene, one camera angle shows a woven blanket, a different angle shows a smooth blanket.
- Continuity: The amount of sweat on Roy's shirt when he walks out of his trailer and talks to Molly.
- Continuity: The positioning of Roy's glass of milk while he and Romeo are discussing the Open and putting together the puzzle in the Winnebago.
- Continuity: During David Simms' charity golf tournament where he employs Roy (Tin Cup) as his caddy, the word 'NISSAN' on David's cap disappears and reappears again.
- Continuity: Roy's entourage is seen behind him on the 72nd hole of the Open and also in the stands behind the green.
- Continuity: Molly's hair when she is on the telephone to her college psychology professor.
- Continuity: As Roy steps out of the trailer and talks to Molly, the hair over his forehead changes from inside the hat, to outside and in again between shots.
- Continuity: When Roy visits Molly at her office, his collar is sometimes well-adjusted and sometimes the left side larger then the right.
- Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): During the press conference when Roy is listing his sponsors, he says "Woody's Smokehouse" when the patch on his shirt says "Wally's Smokehouse".
- Factual errors: When MaCavoy is seen signing his first round scorecard, he marks a 5 at the last. However he informs Dave Simms that he "missed a four foot putt for an 82". As the commentator later says, he hits his second shot in the water at the 18th on all four days of the tournament, so he cannot have been able to make a five there after missing a four foot putt.
- Continuity: During the opening credits and the opening scene, the range is shown at twilight, and Roy hits balls into the setting sun, yet when he and his entourage enter the pro shop, the light coming through the blinds, as well as the view of the range through the front door clearly show it to be daytime. When Roy and Molly step outside to begin her first lesson, it is twilight again.
