- Boom mike visible: Shadow of the boom mike visible in the top-right-hand corner of the screen while Devlin directs Steiner to the back of the church to show him the escape route he has found.
- Continuity: At the Alderney harbour, when Sgt. Brandt carried one of his dead fellows of the boat, his jacket gets bloody over his right shoulder. When he walks up the stairs, where Colonel Radl is standing, the jacket is clean. But later, when Devlin is in the pub, the jacket is bloody again.
- Continuity: During Devlin's first conversation with Molly outside the pub, the buckets "water" and "sand" on the pegs behind him switch places alternately.
- Continuity: Father Verecker says he's figured out Steiner's plan to "assassinate" Churchill. Pamela overhears and flees, first to Joanna and then to the Americans. She tells Joanna that the Germans mean to "kidnap" Churchill, but tells the Americans that the plan is to kill him.
- Continuity: Sgt Brandt pours whisky over Devlin's coat. Seconds later he is getting thrown out through the window and his coat is dry, without any spots.
- Continuity: The number of Colonel Steiner's men varies between 15 and 17, when they are in the village.
- Factual errors: Alderney was completely evacuated just before the German invasion in 1940, and the civilian population was moved to mainland Britain.
- Factual errors: There were no established German secret agents in Britain in 1943. The Germans had attempted to set up secret agents earlier in the war, but all were quickly detected and the agents captured or, usually, turned to the British side.
